I completed my undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Lancaster and then went on to a research masters under the supervision of Dr Bob Lauder. At Lancaster I specialised in glycobiology which lead me to start my PhD the under the supervision of Prof. Sabine Flitsch at the Manchester institute of Biotechnology (MIB). Here I am working in collaboration with Prozomix ltd and Bioshape to expand the selectivity of galactose oxidase which is a very promising enzyme for use in industrial biotechnology.
