"My research experience and its commercial application has been complemented by the training and additional opportunities offered by the IBioIC’s CTP programme.  This work would not have been possible without the funding through the IBioIC CTP and we look forward to continuing this successful research "

James Marshall, University of Manchester, 3rd Year IBioIC PhD

"The training provided through the IBioIC-CTP programme is separate from the technical training I have received as part of my PhD but has expanded my knowledge and understanding of the industrial biotechnology world and how to effectively promote myself and my research to different groups."

Alison Hughes, University of Strathclyde, 3rd Year IBioIC PhD

Training the Entrepreneurs of the Future

June saw a first for IBioIC- a full 3 day training course delivered in the virtual environment!

Despite the COVID-19 situation, IBioIC were determined to deliver the summer block of cohort training as planned... and so the online training course 'Who wants to be an entrepreneur?' was born.

Over the course of three days, students were required to work in teams to start up a new business using an online simulator. To add to the experience, students heard from experts in the field of marketing, accountancy and investment and also got the opportunity to quiz 'real life' entrepreneurs.

Find out how our students got on here.
